“…Let there be light…” Genesis 1:3 CJB
Father, could it be understood that so saying “…let there be light…” it could be, as well a proclamation, as an act of creation?
Darkness and void, unformed material, were present, awaiting the Artist’s hand.
But You are Light… and Life.
Heavens and earth would soon house life but it was Your statement, Your proclamation… that they would exist, enshrouded in Light, Your presence.
Your Light, Your Presence, Your Goodness, would always be… no matter the amount of darkness.
A world with only luminaries… without Your Light… well… what would that do for our spirit in times of burden or trouble or uncertainty? What power do they have to change circumstances, soften pain, or gladden the heart?
But when we look beyond the circumstances of the day and see You there we are gladdened, hope is renewed, we find calm. Your marvelous light… it shines.
Our prayer is Father, we would be wise… and in the midst of the circumstances of our day… we would look beyond them to Your Light there.
Our prayer is that this simple trust and act on our part, You would reward with uplifted and gladdened spirits… enabling us to return focus to our circumstances with power to live in them…
to live in them Father, lovingly, joyfully, peacefully, patiently, kindly, faithfully, with goodness and humility and self control… as brothers Father… who are one another’s keepers…
possible Father… we well know… only in the Light… of Your Ways.
Blessed are we whom You love as You do.
Thank You Father… in Yeshua’s name…
