Father, here we are at war.
Standing back at a distance, how absurd it is to observe…in this day and age… as far as we have “progressed”… here we are thousands of years down the road and still resorting to killing one another to solve our problems, achieve our aims… advanced in technology but not in who we are as Your created human beings.
But Father… here we are.
Father, You know hearts and minds, the true motives and circumstances of every single person involved or affected.
May You judge every plan, every decision made – for success or for failure… every injury, whether to be serious or not… every fatality, every loss, every mercy, who and what… all of it under Your control…according to Your will, to accomplish Your purposes…
For those directly engaged Father, somewhere in the fray, and for those looking on, may You reveal Yourself that many may be drawn to You.
In the end may there be a change of heart in those on both sides, a spirit for peace making in each towards the other.
Guide us to that day Father, when men will… “learn war” no more… men be invited “…come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.”
