Father… You are so good…
May we begin this day prayerfully in Your Word… in confidence that there we will find what we need to live this day with the desire and Your enablement to be good ourselves, just as You are, and to do good towards one another, just as You do towards us.
Father… not hurriedly… but slowly and contemplatively… may we intercede for those we know and those we don’t know that we may do so with hearts that truly care… that there would be in us a sincerely felt burden for their well being…
a burden we lay down before You knowing that You and only You are able to work all things to good. It may be by Your direct intervention. It maybe by Your working through Your created beings.
We pray Your healing to give relief, to make well, bodies hurting in illness and brokenness and suffering decline. Please restore health and wellness.
May that healing, that comfort apply as well to the troubles we suffer relationally with one another that are painful and destructive that cause so much unhappiness, that oft bring out in us what is worst.
May we intercede for our communities, for nations, for a world… Father…that is and are so foolishly and dangerously in turmoil.
May we begin this day Father… reaching out first thing… to You…
Humbling ourselves under You… patiently awaiting Your lifting us up… casting our cares upon You… for we know You care about us.
Father… You are so good.
