Blessed are You Oh Lord our God,
King of the universe
Who has sanctified us with Your commandments
And commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer”
Today is 44 days which is six weeks and two days of the Omer.”
Father the time has gone by so quickly. At the beginning, looking ahead the sense was… seven weeks and one day… that’s a ways off. But the days come and go Father, and before we know it we are at the other end of the count and thinking “How did it go so fast?”
“So Ya’akov worked seven years for Rachel, and it seemed only a few days to him, because he was so much in love with her.”
Does that characterize Your love for us, our love for You and one another… that time… in a sense can be lost track of… so long as that love is present in us all?
Father may that love which is in You… for us… be in us… for You and one another… each day… and that the time that is a measure of each day fade into timelessness where:
“…a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years are as a day…”
…such may our fleeting lives be lived… from now into eternity…
