2nd Day Prayer

Father,

“Your steadfast love never ceases…

Your mercies never come to an end…

They are new every morning…

Great is Your faithfulness.”

“Oh what peace we often forfeit…

Oh what needless pain we bear…

All because we do not carry…

Everything to ‘You’ in prayer.”

We pray to You Father. You are there and You hear us, You see us. We need only trust.

Each new day Your sun rises and casts its light across the heavens…

on days of heavy cloud cover, on days when scattered clouds high up or low are varied in number and shape… reflecting and blending varying hues of color… on days cloudless, clear and bright…

And it doesn’t matter about the day before.

Regardless of the cloud cover in our lives Your light shines down on us… through it…

as if new every morning, without end, faithfully.

We lay the burdens before You trading them for Your tender mercies, Your comfort, Your strength…

in our sicknesses, in our uncertainties, in our times when decisions are necessary and we just don’t know what to do, in times of guilt and shame, in times of gladness and joy and a sense that all will be well…

We lay it all at Your feet…

And know the warmth of You who are our Light…

rising over us, a covering shinning down on us, lighting our way…

fresh and new every morning.

In Yeshua’s name, Abba Dear Father… we give thanks and we pray…

Amen.
