Father, just to know You… and to become like You ourselves… Then Father, that our actions might have, might be done, in Your character.
Knowing all things, understanding all mysteries…
Great self sacrifice…
Patience, kindness, complementariness, minimizing oneself, humility, politeness, self control, forgiveness…
Are these love Father… or are these ways to show love?
It seems Father that actions performed in our will, could have the appearance of love but really be loveless… without You in them. And without You in them aren’t they meaningless? Absent Your Spirit aren’t they powerless to convey one being loved? Wouldn’t they be just half-gifts… maybe beneficial to our bodies but lacking the comfort or encouragement that one is valued or cared for as one of Your created beings… nothing more it would seem, than just one of many duties to be checked off a list labeled Good Deeds?
Would it not be better Father, to understand love itself as being Spiritual, as being You… and that if we pursue You and You indwell us, then the instructions for how to love, which are… written… written down for us, would then become actions… Spirit guided actions… that You have commanded us in order to demonstrate in a physical way Your Love… Yourself… towards others?
We continue to ask You Father… teach us how to love… may Your Spirit increase our knowledge of the written instructions You have given on the “how to”…
but our great prayer Father is… the Spirit of love, which is You, would indwell us and be the guiding force and character in which we obediently follow Your instructions…
Without which… we are and can do…nothing.
All glory be Yours Abba Dear Father.
In gratitude and thanksgiving…
In humility and gladness…
We pray in Yeshua’s name…
