There Is A Scripture - Too Exposed

I don’t remember, when as a youngster growing up, being exposed or witness to, the events and images our young people and us older ones are living with today. It was an innocent time by comparison I think and although there is nothing new happening now from then, now it is no longer hidden or far away. There is more of it and it has become a part of our diet of things to hear and see like it never was before. Before what was just news we took in, then we went about our ways as usual, now has become real events that reach out and touch us. It can be depressing. It can be infuriating. It can be frustrating to the point of a “What’s the use” or “What ya going to do” mentality. It can fuel an outright or a smoldering anger just waiting for an opportunity to be vented, change us into cynics, think thoughts that are understandable but we are still called to bring into subjection, thoughts of hate. Our Father is asking a hard thing of us, not to be overcome by these things and without Him we will not achieve it. Those who have not acknowledged that He Is or those who believe He Is but turn away blaming Him for the evil that men do are without hope and assurance that this life is not the end, that justice will be done. They have turned their back on the One who can provide comfort in the midst of things and settle scores in the end. In a time when we cry out as others have “…Sovereign Ruler, HaKadosh, the True One, how long will it be before You judge the people living on the earth and avenge our blood?” Revelation 6:10 CJB. He says to us “…This is when perseverance is needed on the part of God’s people, those who observe His commands and exercise Yeshua’s faithfulness.” Revelation14:12 CJB. and “…I will never fail you or abandon you.”  Hebrews 13:5 CJB. So easy to say… isn’t it. When reality reaches out and touches us words like that don’t always help. But given time to battle and overcome the flesh we live in, and a hanging on tight to our trust, we can cry on God’s shoulder for the comfort and reassurance we need in the moment. And He will companion with us to easier days. Father, in the midst of horrible things going on afar and near, help us to be strong, to trust in Your ways. We rely on You for comfort and strength and Father just as You are our comfort and strength may we be so for our brothers and sisters, anyone Father, who is in the midst of hard times. May we do so with Your faithfulness and patience, and love. In Yeshua’s name we pray, Amen. May God’s love be in us all. Elder.
