Minchah Prayer - Truth on our Hearts

”These words…are to be on your heart; and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates… Some day your child will ask you, ‘What is the meaning…?’ then you will tell him…It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to obey all these mitzvot before ADONAI our God, just as He ordered us to do…”

Father, may Your Word be on our hearts so that out of our hearts will come thoughts and words and actions that have in them Your spirit of goodness, Your intent for good.

May Your Word on our hearts be present with us at home, on the road, when we lie down and when we get up.

May Your Word always govern and temper even the touch of our hands and the thought we give to the world in which we live.

May Your Word be the power under which we enter and leave our homes, our protection and our guide there in our homes and outside them as well.

When our children ask what is the meaning, the purpose of our fear and our carefulness and our desire to hear and know and do Your Word Father, when they… and others ask… may we be able to answer… honestly and sincerely out of our own trust and experiences of the rescue You performed in our own lives.

May we answer because of the trust and experience in our own lives, of Your accompanying Spirit with us, the certainty in our own hearts and minds that we are headed for the land of milk and honey You promise, of the certainty that walking in Your Ways, according to Your instructions will be righteousness for us.

Thank You for Yeshua, for the Word through which, through Whom, You have done all things and accomplish all things, that IT… He… was given to be on our hearts from the very beginning and that there is no other but Him who can mediate for us before You, that He is a wall between wrath and us but… and also, a door through which He accompanies us to personally approach You and live in Your presence and… not die.

Your Word, He, is the Way for us to have life and have it abundantly.

Thank You… most awesome and wonderful… dear Father.

In Yeshua’s name we pray,

Amen.
