Minchah Prayer

Minchah Prayer

“All of my… ambitions, hopes and plans…

I surrender these… into Your hands…”

“Whatever work you do, put yourself into it, as those who are serving not merely other people, but the Lord.”

Father, may there be a desire in us all for purpose and meaningfulness in what we apply ourselves to.

May we embrace the work we do and be glad for it as the means to provide for ourselves and our families, as a means to make our own visions a reality or to aid others in accomplishing their vision… May we give, in our labor, fairly of our talents, skills and energy, even beyond what is rightfully obligated…May we seek to cultivate a relationship that is of mutual benefit.

But though work is necessary for survival and desirable for prosperity and reputation Father… may what we apply ourselves to that have “ caring for self” as a motivation… may the first and overriding motivation be to use our work…and do our work… for opportunity to represent You…for the purpose of giving You glory… for an opportunity to turn back to You praise and demonstrate love for You and one another… whatever circumstance we find ourselves in.

We know Father we are not able to do this in what we call our own wisdom and it certainly isn’t within us to know or do in our own strength.

But your “heart” is for Your children and You  neither ignore us or turn away from us. So we surrender  our will to Yours… surrender it into Your hands… and set ourselves to work to please You in all we do.

Whatever our labors may be, menial or critical, Father, may we know high purpose and meaningfulness because it is… as unto You.

Please Father… be near…

In Yeshua’s name we pray…

Amen.
