Minchah Prayer

We cancel You and put ourselves in Your place Father. Thus we are able to do all that we, in our own minds, see as good. We assign goodness to what we want.

And how bewildering but true, we can manipulate our thinking in such a way with words and logics that anything we think or do is without check or balance, is justifiable as a goal because it satisfies, is pleasing to us.

You ask:

“…Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct Him?

He that reproveth God…

let him answer…”

“…Wilt thou also annul My judgment?

Wilt thou condemn Me…

That thou mayest be justified?”

“…Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?”

“…Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding…”

We should answer:

“…Therefore have I uttered that which I understand not…”

After all this time Father…and all the antics of man… this world and our spiritual peace is no closer to Eden than it was from man’s first bite into forbidden fruit giving knowledge of good and evil and poisoning us unto death. Every tear has not been wiped away, death still is in our future, we suffer sorrow and crying and pain in spite of all our efforts. It was Adam’s fault. Why do we suffer?

Do we not perpetuate the curse in all its manifestations because we are just like him and willingly follow his example? It’s tragic and the consequences we suffer are inescapable and only You can deliver us from it…but now…in Your time and Your Way.

All creation declares Your glory… is a display of Your divineness and strength, your beauty and order. We can see it. We know You are because of what we see in Your creation… and all of our history as beings doing things apart from You proves we are in over our heads and irrefutably proves that we of ourselves know nothing and can do nothing to create paradise, as some might think, or return us to paradise, as others might think.

Our track record alone then, compared to Yours, should bring us to the table, to sign a document of surrender and finally allow You to rule…

bring us to the point where we, like Job, confess…

“…I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

Father… that we might truly have that moment. Give us understanding that the sorry and tragic things of this life are reality, a reality that is the fruit of our own fallen natures, destined to continue till You create a new world. Help us to find solace and endurance now in this world through a rebirth into a new man in Yeshua, humbly taking our place… under You and Your authority.

For in and of ourselves we can do nothing good.

Only You are good and You do good.

Glory be to You Abba… Dear Father

In Yeshua’s name we pray…

Amen.
