Minchah Prayer

Father…if there is one thing that might be on our hearts, as the hour grows late and sleep beckons, it might be that our children may be struggling with belief, faith… secretly Father… and we as parents have no clue what’s going on inside them.

Do they pretend, go along, secretly feeling out of place, holding back questions they have when what they see is not matching what they are being taught, when they do not experience what others say they are?

Are they living with fear, fearfulness that there is something wrong with them because they’re not getting it and they have these questions… or of how they will be perceived by others in the faith if they were ever found out?

Father… that all this may be going on and we are unaware…

Father… the prayer is for us…

that we would teach them… in word… by example…

that we would test them, try them… to nurture them…

watch them in their trials…

question them…

have conversation in which their thoughts are listened to and seriously considered…

in which we are… honest… about our own faith, and the questions that we have as well…

and how we deal with them.

Father… the prayer is for us…

that our faith is real and we are not just pretending…

that just as You have been patient with we, Your children… we would be patient with them, our children…

that You would grant us, wisdom to know restraint as well as passion…

to know when to speak and when to be silent…

that just as You give time and in that time try us…

may we also give time…

and try them by our faithfulness to You and Your Way…

that we would never abandon or forsake in our prayers and love for them…

when they need us most...

or for that matter…ever.

By, and only by, Your might and power Father… to be sure.

In Yeshua’s name we pray…

Amen.
