“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 AKJV
Father, as You father us, raise us from infancy to adulthood. School us in Your ways that we might be able to deal with the physical manifestations of spiritual forces.
Give us eyes to see the physical activity around us but also eyes to see beyond the physical to what lies at the heart, and is the motivation of it all.
For powers of darkness are present and at work whenever there is difficulty in relationships, whenever there are decisions involving right and wrong to make, honest and dishonest, fair and not fair, whenever one is in pain or fatigued, whenever one feels wronged or taken advantage of, whenever loss is suffered, whenever the choice exists between forgiving or being vengeful, whenever the choice is to remain prideful or to humble ourselves and seek forgiveness.
Enable us to be strong and victorious against what we cannot see in those things going on around us… that we can see.
Grant us wisdom to be able to react and respond in Your character… take advantage of the capacity and the opportunity to be “God- Like” as Your children in this world… by Your Word and by Your Spirit.
Bless us with Your peace, that it be with us and independent of whatever circumstances may be.
To the Power, to the Ruler, the Spirit of light and good, in heavenly places, to whom we belong and by whom we are guarded, we praise You and love You.
