The psalmist looking around himself… then deeply inward:
“Listen, ADONAI, to my voice when I cry;
show favor to me; and answer me…
You are my help; don’t abandon me…”
Father, sometimes we look at circumstances, and it seems like we are on our own.
What should we do?
What decisions should we make?
How will things turn out?
Will things be better… or worse?
The psalmist wasn’t as fearful of his enemies as he was of the idea that You would abandon him. For only You can…
So, in his experience, he counseled…
“Put your hope in ADONAI”…
May we be strengthened in the knowledge and trust that Yehovah will do and show goodness. If it hasn’t been our experience in the past, may it be from here onward.
As You instructed…
“Seek My face”…
and as David did, may we also seek Your face…
maybe it could begin with:
“Sometimes alleluia…
Sometimes Praise the Lord…
Sometimes gently singing…
Our hearts in one accord…”
Father… that we would be in one accord with You…
In Yeshua’s name we pray…
Amen.
