Sometimes Father, at the end of the day we are tired. But there is being tired… and then there is being tired. Sometimes it is a fatigue in which all we want to do is lay down, go to sleep and escape.
But then there is that good kind of tired in which the body is fatigued but our spirit is not.
We are wondrously, mysteriously made? Body and spirit so intricately interwoven that a downcast spirit can bring on physical weakening… or an uplifted spirit can unleash renewed and sustained strength.
Our bodies can hurt so bad… but they can hurt so good.
“…the creation was made subject to frustration…not willingly but because of the one who subjected it…
“…groaning as with the pains of childbirth…”
“…But it was given a reliable hope that it too would be set free from its bondage to decay …”
“…and not only it but we ourselves… groan inwardly…
as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons…
that is, to have our whole bodies redeemed and set free.”
And when words fail and all we have are our groanings within… Your Spirit, there with us, groans on our behalf as well… “…groanings too deep for words…” which You hear and You understand… and minister to.
The groanings as with the pains of childbirth… are groanings and pains which we endure… trusting and believing that, in so enduring, You are working good and new life is being birthed. May that knowledge bring a gladdening to our spirits that gives strength to our bodies and peace to our being.
We bless You Heavenly Father…
And pray in Yeshua’s name…
Amen.
