2nd Day Prayer

Father, as the week lies ahead of us, may it be our daily routine to spend time in prayer before we get caught up in the activities of the day.

May it be a morning ritual we look forward to engaging in with You not just to be asking You for something or to do something for us but also to have a sense of closeness to You, maybe for quiet conversation with You, some moments to thank You, bless You, acknowledge how blessed we are by what we see around us that is the work of You hands.

May it be a time of spiritual preparation so that out of us, Your holy ones, will flow “living water” that touches and refreshes everywhere we are.

In the course of the day, may we not miss the opportunities there will be to say “Thank You”, “Praise You Heavenly Father”, or to ask that question, “What should I do?” in a circumstance…

May we not miss an opportunity to intercede on behalf of others as needs become known.

May we not wake one day and realize it’s been a day or two or more since last we talked… and we missed out being a part of answered prayer for those in need… that our fellow saints offered up on behalf of them.

Thank You, Father, for the power of prayer to comfort and assure, give hope and peace.

May prayer be a joy for us…

And glory to You…

We pray in Yeshua’s name…

Amen.
