2nd Day Prayer

“…The Lord our God is one Lord…” Deuteronomy 6:4 AKJV

“… one God and Father of all… one Spirit… one faith… one hope… one body… Ephesians 4:5, 4 AKJV

“…Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you… neither shall ye diminish anything from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you…” Deuteronomy 4:2 AKJV

You are our Creator and we are the object of Your love and, Father, is it not Your desire that You be the object of our love?

And might it not be that harmonious oneness with You and one another be the reality of a life and life abundant that You would have us have?

Father, You reveal Yourself to us through Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. The reality of Your Goodness becomes apparent to us because there in Your Word we see our failings but we also see redemption… an unmerited yet supreme act of love.

May we start this new day Father, opening our Bibles and reading.

As we open them up may we prayerfully do so with an unwavering intent and discipline to know, Father, what You are saying to us, to know what the truth of Your Word is and that when You reveal that to us we would accept it… and live by it.

May we not be scouring Your Word for the purpose of supporting or justifying the interpretation and application we think and want… in our own minds.

Reveal to us Father, the truth and intent of Your mind and heart that is there in Your Word, meant to bring us into oneness with You and with one another and will… if we willingly lay aside ego, pridefulness , the inclination to interpret Your Word to fit our convenience or comfort.

Then Father we would hear from the One Spirit alike… for You would not say one thing to one and something different to another… You are One.

May we be willing Father and may You enable us, to actually approach Your Word with meekness…in a unified mindset, all of us the same… hear… and obey… what You are telling us It says.

No more…No less…

Oh for humility Father and a heart that takes joy in lifting You up… and glorifying You.

Oh for the walks in the Garden… in the cool of the evening.

Oh for the change of hearts that brings peace on earth… good will towards men.

Abba, Dear Father… how blessed we are when one with You…

It’s in Yeshua’s name we draw near and pray…

Amen.
