Father… a simple prayer, please, to You.
In the aftermath of Ian, Father, You would work to good the harm and destruction that folks are dealing with and going to be dealing with in the days ahead…
In the labor of clean up and fixing, for many rebuilding…
In the moments of fatigue and tears and mourning…
people would be brought closer together in family and community…
hearts and helping hands going out to neighbors and strangers…
a genuine spirit of caring and goodwill extended to one another…
recognizing a common bond that we are all human, Your creation…
with common vulnerability and need and value to You.
We pray that this event will bring out the best in us towards one another…
that best that is Your doing…
it continues…
and You be glorified.
