Father, it’s the start of a new day and a new week ahead and we know that every sort of experience lies ahead.
There will be the pressures of deadlines and expectations of us and ours of others and… will everything work out? How will things work out?
We’ll get along. We’ll not get along. There will be upset but there will also the pleasant and gratifying encounters.
We’ll feel well and we’ll feel not so well.
There is a whole world of people out there and every sort of circumstance is happening all at the same time… to them… between them.
We prepare. We begin quietly focused on You.
And before anything can capture our attention we commune with You. Your Spirit calms, reassures and encourages in those moments with You and we can start without fretting or being easily upset… enabled to deal with whatever comes… taking captive every thought, every action… dealing with every issue of mind and body… and in the process do so in a way that honors You and blesses others… it is our goal.
What a relief it is to be able to lean on You…Father.
May we begin the day and walk in the week in harmony with You, prepared and able…to see good… and be good… in others and to others.
Thank You Father for this new day.
