“…scoffers …” will say…’Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation…’” 2 Peter 3:4 AKJV.
“…He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities… for He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust…” Psalm 103:10,14 AKJV.
“…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God…not of works…we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” Ephesians 2:8,9,10 AKJV.
“…The conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man…” Ecclesiastes 12:13 AKJV.
When the scoffer questions Your coming… citing no evidence of this or of change… we could encourage him to look closer…call on him to consider and be grateful that You have not come and dealt with us as our sins deserve. Instead You have extended to us grace… time and opportunity… to be changed individually, if we so will…in Yeshua …unto good works of Your devising…that do bring about change in the world.
As we live each day and witness the things going on in this old world Father, may we not become arrogant as a result of our own achievements and a sense that there is nothing we can’t do.
May we not become depressed or have a sense of “what’s the useless” in the face of forces, negative forces Father, great and threatening.
May we be people who fear You and keep Your commands… of faith and works, Your works Father.
What peace there is in walking in nearness to You.
May we guard that nearness with all our strength.
