2nd day
We thank You Father for Your Day Shabbat.
We thank You that we have Your permission, even Your insistence that we stop, that we rest for a day and we need not feel guilty about doing so.
We stop and put aside…our… work.
We stop…put a pause on…our…things and…our… activities we have chosen and committed ourselves to, responsibilities we have taken on, obligations to others we have agreed to be faithful to fulfill, the diversions and pursuits that we want to be involved in for our own satisfaction.
We stop…put a pause on…set aside…worry, anxiousness, being stressed, being harried… these things that can infect the spirit in which we work.
This special day stands apart from the others and we stand apart in it from the common and every day.
The spirit that inhabits this day and all the activity that we do engage in Father, may it not be a spirit of burden or a spirit of laboriousness but may it be a spirit of graciousness, loving kindness, consideration and lifting up… directed towards one another.
May on that day, we be in oneness with You and with one another, in a sense be a global holy convocation, made up of the many parts of the body located in the many different venues that circumstances and resources dictate.
Guide us Father in our pursuit to be obedient to Your instructions.
But also Father guide us to correctly interpret and obey Your instructions that we might be in harmony with the intent of Your heart… not only the letter of the Law but the Spirit of the Law as well…as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling Father.
We pray in Yeshua’s name…
Amen.
