2nd Day

Father, Your hand has always been between Israel and her foes. From the day You first chose a person and a line of promise through him, those people have been the apple of Your eye. Through their faithfulness and their unfaithfulness, You have never abandoned or forsaken them. Through Israel, You would make Yourself known to all the world, and through them, Your redemption plan and blessing for the world would come.

Nothing has changed.  Your purpose and plan continue and will continue.  That is why they still exist as a people and regardless of who or how many surround them and are against them, they will continue to survive and be the exceptional, unique, chosen people they are.

You made covenant with them forever and what You promise, You will be faithful to… for the sake of Your glory… and because You desire fellowship with all we You have created.

We mourn the pain and suffering, the destruction that is taking place in this present conflict but we know… You will preserve Your people, they will not be overcome… they will be the instrument through whom You bring Your purposes for the world to completion.

Our prayer Father…

That Israel, in their suffering and pain, will not disavow You as their God, but instead, in the midst of yet another episode in their history of being persecuted… draw close to You… call on You.  In the midst of their trial may they pray to You, honor, reverence, praise, trust, and glorify You.. in the midst of it, in spite of it… anyway...

That Israel may come to the knowledge that Yeshua is their Messiah, and surrender in trust to Him…

That we who are not physical Israel, but are Spiritual Israel, grafted in… understand we are, unified with Israel, a chosen people, Your priesthood, a holy nation, a people for You to possess…

That we may be faithful to the covenant into which we have entered, faithful to You Father, and to the members of the family into which we have been adopted…

This is our prayer, Awesome One…

In Yeshua’s name…

Amen.
