“…Their number was as countless as the sand on the seashore, and they came up over the breadth of the Land and surrounded the camp of God’s people and the city He loves…” Revelation 20:8-9 CJB.
You will deliver Your people from the hand of their enemies… Just as in the day of Gid’on… You delivered Israel from one hundred thirty five thousand of Midyan and Amalek.
Three hundred… chosen from thirty two thousand of Israel… surrounded the camp of Your enemies… armed with torches and shofars… and stood watch over the slaughter Your enemies executed on themselves.
Not by their own strength but by Your strength was the battle won.
Once again Israel is hemmed in, surrounded, by forces both physical and spiritual that seek to destroy. Fewer and fewer are those who would interpose to save.
Once again the odds are such that survival seems impossible… victory a fantasy.
But victory against all odds is the way You demonstrate to all the world, You and You alone are All Powerful God.
Yeshua was raised up, tortured and abused, unrecognizable… surrounded by all who sought to destroy Him… and they thought they had. But You raised Him up… conquered the foe… gave Him victory over death.
And one day when the evil one gathers his forces one last time to once again surround the camp of those who belong to You… You will make short work of his defeat and utter destruction… bring to an end pain and suffering, sin and death… gather to You the faithful.
Our prayer is Father, that in the trials that are here and more to come, we Your sons and daughters would be faithfully obedient to You, obey Your commands, stand faithfully and loyally alongside Your chosen people Israel… in the strength and peace that trust in You and Your love for us provides.
In the Name of our Servant and Warrior King, our Savior, our Friend…
