Father, we don’t want to move through the day and week ahead without Your companionship, without an awareness of Your nearness.
These are our best hope against falling short in our thoughts and deeds.
It’s so easy for a difficulty or mistake to lead to impatience, maybe let a sharp word slip.
It’s so easy for an interruption or change in plans to cause irritation, maybe take the wind out of our sails.
It’s important things get done Father… but may we operate…enable us to operate please… in a spirit of peace and well being in the midst of work… in the midst of our encounters with people, in the midst of worldly turmoil.
May we never be without awareness of You and Your constant companionship.
And out of that spirit of peace and well being, that Your nearness makes possible, may our labors be well done and Your peculiar people draw the attention of others to You.
May You be glorified… and all others blessed.
