Today is the fourth day of the sixth week of seven weeks.
Today is the thirty-ninth day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.
You engage us intimately with loving kindness…
When You discipline us and exercise Your justice and strength…
In times of suffering when You touch us with compassion and bring harmony to our spirits…
and come alongside and enable us to endure.
We are humbled by Your willingness to humble Yourself for our sake…
Your desire to be our foundation, to bond with us, to be intimate…
You who are, after all, noble and King and Sovereign…
so far above us…
Yet as far above us as You are You take the first steps, to draw us to You… flawed and undeserving ones…
To You who are Sovereign and strong and just, perfect in these, and in loving kindness, in patience, in compassion…
to draw we who cannot compare…
to bond and fellowship… to be intimate with You.
Enable us to know Your great love for us and enable us to practice and experience intimacy one to another through thoughts and actions characterized by You perfect attributes… just as You do towards us.
Comfort and heal Father.
Calm and strengthen.
We call on You and trust in You in times of trouble.
We praise and are gladdened at the beauty and goodness that You have created.
We pray to grow more like You… become daily more intimate with You… as we count and give thanks for each and every day of our allotted time.
May You be pleased and glorified… Father we pray…
