2nd Day Prayer

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12  AKJV

Father, the days You allow us to wake to have beauty that soothes, whether we walk engulfed in grey fog, all sounds muffled, nature quiet and closed in around us, or they be clear, colors and shapes distinct, cool air that clears a foggy mind and energizes.
It is a real thing we can be blessed by if we will just rest our minds on the good You have created for us to experience.
But what is true is that there is a darkness in this world, on these mornings, that exists right alongside the light, though we may not be seeing it.
Then, seemingly by chance, an encounter… what was meant to be a casual, friendly conversation becomes a scene in a little space of time of two forces… one person standing in the beauty of the new day is right alongside one walking in personal darkness, same surroundings, different spirits. The battle between light and dark is taking place in the unseen and the seen that surrounds those in that position, and in those moments, whatever is the source of the darkness for the one comes into contact with the heartfelt plea to You from the other… “Father, this would be a good time for a miracle, a sign, a wonder…please… relief now Father… a little light… a little uplift, a flow into their spirit of assurance so that in the face of it all… it will be well with their soul, and they will emerge out of the shadow of a dark day into a brightness that is not understandable but is real. Sometimes it is them, sometimes it is us.
Father, that we would know and walk in the light and beauty of each new day, and that we would still be glad in it even when confronted by the darkness of some sort. And that it’s not that we would be unaffected by the troubles we come in contact with and our spirits drawn into the dark place also, but that we would remain in safety with You while at the same time empathizing with and conveying sincere caring for the peace and joy of that other one. How soothing it can be to unload.
Father, that we would have that true caring for others, that they would sense it and it would be comforting and encouraging to them, and that we would not lose our peace and joy in the process.

In Yeshua’s name we pray…

Amen.
